Farm Days: Bee Keeping
Saturday, Jul. 4
10:00 am - 11:30 am
What’s all the buzz about?
Roger Moss has been beekeeping for 20 years. This workshop will introduce beekeeping techniques and include some important facts about why maintaining healthy bee colonies draws on knowing the biology of honeybees and the many challenges face the current cadre of beekeepers, from health threats to poor nutrition. There’ll be live bees present for those who want to get up close to them at the hives that Roger keeps at Willow Wisp Organic Farm, as well as an “observation beehive” where the bees are contained behind glass.
This workshop is offered both in person and by Zoom.
